It’s about who WE are as a body in Christ.
We began with Romans 12:1 regarding Mercy:
-God chose not to give us what we deserve.
Last Sunday covered Romans Ch 12- first half of Ch 13
– How to relate to society, particularly in government and authority
Today’s Sermon focuses on the last half of Romans Chapter 13:
-It deals with how we relate to all people, to society
and how to conduct our lives around all people.
Romans 13:8-14.
“8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. 11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.“

All Commandments are summed up in one word… LOVE
We are a debt culture , however, we are not talking about financial debt
There is a debt that we as Believers have
It relates to everybody
It’s the only debt that is never paid in full
Romans 13 tells us -how- to walk in LOVE
Jesus provided a means to receive GOD’S LOVE, by coming to earth and loving the world unconditionally. HE provided LIGHT to our dark world. We have a debt of love towards everyone we meet. So we need to call on the Lord to help us show HIS LIGHT and HIS LOVE continually…
And this is what our world needs! — His Agape Love
So, don’t sleep, put on JESUS CHRIST. We owe this debt to everyone. We must practice this LOVE continuously and let our light SHINE.
